Our Story
As you know, there are many organizations involved in keeping Palm Beach County safe from dangerous drugs.
Palm Beach County Substance Awareness Coalition is one of the most vital agencies.
We have been around for more than 30 years worked with dozens of our partners in the fields of drug and alcohol prevention, intervention and treatment.
Together, the Coalition in conjunction with law enforcement administrators, lawmakers, teachers, business owners, and many other community leaders have changing laws, policies, attitudes and behaviors toward underage drinking and abusing new and traditional drugs.
Formed in 1982, the Coalition has evolved and adapted to our community’s changing needs in the fight against the spread of alcohol and drugs. We’ve started task forces, kicked off campaigns, and organized events to address the most dangerous substances facing our youths and adults.
Today, we are proud to be a 501 (c)(3) run by a dedicated staff and diverse group of board members and task force volunteers representing all interests in keeping drug away from the places we work, live and play.
It’s no surprise that communities without a Coalition like ours are the places where drugs run rampant and government support for prevention is weak.
Be active in our anti-drug initiatives by joining our task forces, supporting our events, and sponsoring our programs. |
